thank you for your well thought out post to me.
i am not actively searching out anything. My money is primarily in t-bills, and cash. I am doing some research for an older relative about funds and such, as i am trying to preserve his capital, as he is approaching retirement. The initial "problem" came from certain individuals on this thread that BELIEVE or want others to believe that the penny stocks have small floats, large short interests, and are sure things, if one removes ones shares from the market.
these longs have described how exactly one can short a penny stock and want me to believe them, when they say it is the foreigners that are EVIL, AND short.
By using both ethnocentrism(anti-foreigners) and the "anti-americanism" of shorting theme, they can back their arguments psychologically, but not factually or actually.
I could care less if these individuals believe their hype or not.
Prudent investors do not buy and hold large positions in sub $1 stocks, UNLESS they have huge gains or deep pockets that will not be easily emptied.
Bottom line is that the argument brought by STreet to me, was both wrong and showed a distinct knowledge of shorting that the average investor would have no clue about. The t-reg comment he asked me about was pretty funny. The naked short comment was funny, because a box on a penny would cost more in clearinghouse fees than the shares of the stock,(in many cases).
so other than a naked short what could one do? there are no options on pennies.... so? there are no synthetics, and there are no "bull" or bear spreads to play momentum.
Inexperienced investors they may be or, seasoned pump and dumpers.
Sounds to me like either way, i don't really need to be here.
Just thought it was odd that this thread was named for busting shorts when the stocks have limited if any short interest....
