EchoStar To Offer $249 Rebate, Extends $49-Off Install Special

Sept. 22, 1998

EchoStar Communications will offer new subscribers for its top programming package a $249 rebate off the cost of its hardware beginning Oct. 1.

The promotion is for customers who choose the renamed "America's Top 100" programming package, plus two multiplex-premium-movie services, for about $48 per month, according to retail sources.

EchoStar had no comment on the new promotion.

EchoStar's current promotion is for a $49 off installation. That deal, which was set to expire Sept. 30, will be carried through the end of the year.
