Isn't the big difference that NT is a 64 bit OS and Win 98 still 32 bit?

Win98 vs NT

To put it in simple terms WIN 98 and all windows before are graphical interface for DOS, while NT is not. NT is much more robust and used mostly on the corp. desk top. Go to MSFTs web site to learn more.

Yeah, right, 'learn ' about NT on the completely unbiased MIcrosoft website! IMHO, WIN NT is no more 'robust' than Clinton is truthful.

Ever seen any unbiased statistics about NT reliability? (You arent going to get them from Msft!) My WIndows 3.1 system was more reliable than 95 which was more reliable than NT.
I wonder if NT 5 will stay up long enough to install it.

Example? Pull out the PC card on my laptop (running NT), goodbye laptop.
Example? The famous incident of the US destroyer delayed in harbour for a couple of days due to NT bugs.

If you want Robust, try UNIX or Linux.
