Better than any Porn Novel
This is the best reading since Penthouse letters!

The U.S. Constitution in action
The Starr Report is not great reading, but the reports release to the public is a testament to our democracy sharing relevant information about it's elected leaders with it's citizens. Hopefully this will set future precedent and discourage our representatives in government from violating the laws that they themselves have put in place and sworn to uphold.

Compelling case for the President's impeachment
Astoundingly well researched and documented investigation into the crimes it alledges were committted by the President: lying under oath, tampering with evidence and witnesses, and abuse of power. If read with an open mind, it's difficult to disagree with its conclusions. The additional Washington Post analysis is helpful, but not necessary.

Not worth the paper
Whoever Ken Starr got to write this piece of junk should be embarassed. i know porn when i see it. unfortunately, this doesn't
even rate. it is only exciting stuff if you are a hopeless preacher's son, terribly out of your depth, much like Ken Starr.

A reader from Rye,NY , September 16, 1998
Very disturbing,indeed.
This seems to be a comprehensive account of the findings of Mr Starr's investigation. It's safe to assume that Bill Clinton did not want to see this released to the public.Intelligent participation in this nation's political discussion demands that all citizens of voting age read this work, from cover to cover!

Sex is NOT the Crime, Perjury is the Crime.
Probably the most well documented and referenced case of Executive deception and intimidation ever. As you read this report, it becomes very evident that the case against Mr. Clinton has little to do with sex and everything to do with abuse of power, legalism and perjury.

It's about time!
It's about time the record is made public regarding our President and his lack of judgement. If we had a President who arrived daily at the Oval Office "fall-down-drunk", we wouldn't allow him to remain in office. No, that wouldn't be a "high-crime" or "misdemeanor", but it would show dereliction of duty, and we, the American people would not allow him to stay. This President is no different. Instead of substance abuse, this President abuses sex, power, his marriage and women. One must also remember that this 40 million dollar investigation has rendered a number of convictions including close friends of the President, the number two man at the Justice department, and the sitting Governor of Arkansas, Jim Guy Tucker. It's not JUST about sex.

A reader from Los Angeles , September 16, 1998
This is NOT about sex!!!
If you want to know what was going on and what this president is all about you must read this. This is NOT about sex. IT IS ABOUT lies, deceptions and coverups. IT IS ABOUT a boss using his position of power to get sex from an employee half his age, something the rest of us would get fired for in about 1 second.

A reader from Washington DC , September 16, 1998
Electrifying!
Stunning and insightful. A document for our time. A revealing look at how business is conducted in the Clinton White House.

Rumor: The next edition will be fully illustrated!

A compelling case for Mr Clinton's departure from office.
It's all here, folks. The perjury, the conspiracy, the obstruction of justice, the witness tampering, the utter contempt that Mr Clinton has for the rule of law.It no doubt chronicles a turning point in the Clinton presidency,as well as American politics.

It had to be done!
Thank you Mr. Starr! There are A LOT of us out here with tremenous support for our legal system, for honesty, and your integrity. Trish Garehime

President Clinton's Perjury Costs Taxpayers Millions
We can thank President Clinton for the cost of this report, but more importantly his perjury. It seems ignorance has overshadowed the fact that the President committed a crime; Mr. Clinton lied under oath. Comments regarding "his private life" are evidence to the fact that people don't understand the issue(s) at hand. Maybe those people should revisit Mr. Starr's report.

A reader from USA , September 16, 1998

This was NOT the first book out on the Starr Report! Why is this one getting all of the publicity? One certainly cannot believe that "Analysis" by the staff of the Washington Post would make a book that much better. Ha, what a joke.

Must read for those who can face truth (and graphic detail)
While its contents are the subject of censure in some circles, it is a well written and well organized series of events that neither the President nor his lawyers have denied.

If we had no one performing such acts during paid time, we would have no report. If any of us did the same on our paid time, we would be fired in an instant.

The level of evidence offered in this writing is unquestionable and affirmed in some cases by the FBI and its laboraties. What better could we ask for? No prosecutor in his right mind would jeopardize his future for the sake of personal vengeance against a sitting President who presides over a period of great prosperity. This and other obvious reasons should lend much credence to the validity of this report.

A reader from Brooklyn , September 16, 1998
I loved it!!! A must read if your a single guy!
A least the Pres is putting the oval office to good use. The report is well written and the details are very enjoyable to read, especially if you have a jar of K-Y Jelly at hand. I myself have decide to start smoking cigars again as one can see from this report that there some coorelation with cigars, power and the needs of women. Very glad to see that the Fem-nazi's are being replaced with more, shall we say, women who like to please. I do hope the congress releases the video soon of his testimony. Glad to see that they are earning their money.

A report exposing our corrupt President
This report does a great job of exposing Bill Clinton for what he really is...a lying adulterer. Ken Starr brilliantly (and in startling
detail) describes how Clinton perjured himself several times, obstructed justice, abused his power, and lied to the nation for nearly eight months. After 440+ pages describing the evidence supporting these charges, there are literally thousands of footnotes. I think that this report will (and should) result in the impeachment of President Bill Clinton.

The tip of Clinton's iceberg
Hmmm. A little politics creeping into the amazon.com "reviews?" First of all, the Starr report is not the "result of four years of
investigative research, at an approximate cost of $40 million." We now know that at least $4.4 million was spent since January, 1998 - 100% of which should be charged to the President. Had he been a man and told the truth, not one penny would have been spent. Plus, a significant portion of that $40 million was spent to clear the Clintons of wrongdoing in the Vince Foster death. I'm sure whoever wrote the above "review" knows these facts, but just forgot to include them.

(By the way, the President recently spent $220 million on a five hour missile attack that yielded 24 dead bodies, not one of whom has been identified as a terrorist. Good value?)

Secondly, you'll note that this is non-fiction hence it should not read like "Harold Robbins or Jackie Susann." (Great examples,
by the way. True icons of erotica.) Had the President not clung to the puerile notion that sex was done "to him," there would never have been any need for details.

Thirdly, the moronic allegation that "the Whitewater allegations never bore fruit," would probably be disputed by Susan McDougal, Jim Guy Tucker, Webster Hubbell, the late Jim McDougal and the twenty others who have been convicted or pled guilty. So far. You might want to note that, as of this writing, the Whitewater report has not been completed. Some of that fruit is still ripening.

Lastly, this document was produced by Bill Clinton's own Justice Department, not Ken Starr operating out of control like some Brooks Brothers Col. Kurtz. And the idea that this is a story "about young women who find themselves falling in love with powerful men," is so laughable. This is a story about a president who pulled his pants down in the Oval Office and orally copulated with an employee -- using his own beloved secretary as a procurer -- over and over and over again. Then he lied about it under oath. Then he lied to every one of his "friends."

It is also rather amusing to note that, while most of the other amazon.com "reviews" are signed, the above "review" is not. (Not
at the time of this writing, anyway.) I can understand this, though. I'd be ashamed, too.

Of course, if amazon.com is so repulsed by this book, they have every right not to offer it for sale, although I seriously doubt this will happen. Some fruit is just too sweet to pass up, I guess.

Accept the inevitable, amazon.com. Put the profits in the bank, relax.

Have a cigar.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS @#$@
Don't support Kenneth Starr's four years of waste of the American Public!

A reader from Pittsburgh, PA , September 16, 1998
Truly an historic masterpiece.
Read this book and share the President's "journey," wherein he learned how to forgive all those who have wronged him, along the way experiencing the most valuable time in his life, and making all of us better people. Thank you, Mr. President, for voluntarily sharing these valuable experiences with us, and thank you, Ken Starr, trusty biographer.

EXCELLENT
Ken Starr did the job he was hired to do. You won't be able to put this down. Takes you behind the scenes at the Clinton Whitehouse. Each fact is exquisitely detailed with supporting documentation.

Unfortunately, this is NOT FOR CHILDREN. It is more like reading a Penthouse story than a government report, and I can't imagine how schools will deal with this.

A Disgraceful Reflection of a Presidency
This report had the makings of a poor romance novel, riddled with legality and explicit details. It is a sad statement of the state
of the presidency. It speaks poorly of the President and how this country was run, while the affair was alive. I hope in time the
office of the President can be repaired and that Clinton can one day find the forgiven he so genuinely seeks.

Something to be buried in Clinton's Pyramid
This 400 page plus document summarizes the state of the United States of America in 1998. The document reveals the
thoughtless waste of agricultural products such as tobacco, and the risk of unprotected sex in public areas of even the finest
homes in America. The author was overpaid producing this X-rate paper back book that did not even have a decent graphic
cover.

Obscene: the acts of the Pres and the cost of the Prosecutor
Forty-million dollars is a lot of money. It could pay the salaries of 1000 police officers at $40,000 each, for instance. At a cost
of 15› per man, woman, and child in the country; we are now treated to unedifying spectacle:

we have a Congress which has pledged itself to rid the Internet of pornography but instantly published the sordid details of this
affair on a government website;

we have a prosecutor who claims to be dedicated to the truth but who, as a tobacco lawyer, has signed court documents
stating that tobacco is not bad for your health;

we have a president who supports women's issues but who treats female employees like his personal harem;

and we have been promised a report about "high crimes and misdemeanors" to justify impeachment of the president but we get
at most a case of second-rate perjury.

Watergate this is not.

For $40 million we get a steamy tale about how Monica gave oral sex to the President while he was talking to politicians on
the phone (a busy man, you understand), how the President would fondle her breasts and genitalia and do things with his cigar
(but no sex, mind you), and how Monica threatened Bill to reveal their affair if he didn't get her a job in New York (but she
didn't mention the semen-stained dress to him). I am sure that these would be great bedtime stories for fraternity brothers. This
report would be a great parody for The National Enquirer.

What isn't in the report? There is no mention of the Whitewater affair which started this show and linked this president to the
S&L scandal. Nor is there mention of the billing records that Hillary Clinton (allegedly) hid from the Whitewater investigators.
Nor are the allegations that Webster Hubbell was bribed to keep quiet answered here. There is no mention of the misuse of
FBI files, which could have been a frightening abuse of power if the allegations were true. (I guess that they weren't.) Nor is
there any mention of the firing of the employees of the Travel Office, who were (allegedly) threatened with FBI investigations if
they complained. None of these potentially serious abuses of power are even mentioned in the report. I guess that they are
either untrue or do not sell books. What do you expect for $40 million?
