Microsoft Europe says "no complaint"
biz.yahoo.com

Reuters, Tuesday September 22, 12:25 pm Eastern Time

''I have no reason to complain about the results of the first few months of this fiscal year,'' Vergnes told reporters on the margins of an information technology conference in Brussels.

Microsoft's first quarter closes at the end of September and the company plans to announce the results in late October.

Vergnes declined to comment further on the expected announcement. But he noted the fiscal year 1998 results were the best the company had ever achieved in Europe.

He added he did not expect the Russian economic crisis to hurt Microsoft's performance in Europe since the company had very low exposure in Russia.

Then if you are a Canadian "Subject" as you termed yourself, then you must be "Stupid, Old, and Poor" as you previously described yourself. Easy for you to use examples of problems in our health-care (which I never said was perfect) and so conveniently not discuss the problems of the US system.

How many countless examples have been revealed about Americans who have lost their home and life savings because they unfortunately got a serious illness, lost their job, and lost their benefits. Or those that already do not have a job with a company that provides a full compliment of health care services, or the additional costs that many Americans put out in addition to their taxes for health care services, or the HMO's down there that follow the letter of the contract and even interpret their contracts to avoid paying for patient services.
Should I go on Witch? Maybe you should go and become an American if you think that "our" system is soo terrible. Ohh that is if you are rich enough - young enough - smart enough.

The only problem with our health-care system is that the current Governments have implemented so many cuts to the system in order to meet other objectives. They are thinking too much like a US HMO, out to somehow make money out of the deal! Return to the basics and stop being an HMO

As for your gun issue. Let them protest - that is what a democracy is all about. I for one have no sympathy for the banned gun owners who do not wish to register. Obviously, neither do the majority of the voters.

You really do belong in the US. If they'll have you! But you better pray that you end up on the upper class and not the lower class, since the US basically doesnt have much of a middle class left. And you better hope you and your family dont get a serious illness in the future.

Cheers Witch

P.S.

Just caught the noon news about thousands of gun owners parading in Ottawa over having their property confiscated without compensation and something about this law based on bogus statistics. What's the UN say about that?

With the anti-gun stance of the UN they probably applauded the confiscation law as enthusiastically as they applauded Clinton.
