Follow Up Question

Darryl,

Thanks for the response. I think you are probably right about the fact that Cymer has worked in this area for quite a number of years and has built up quite a bit of expertise that would be difficult for a competitor to develop from scratch.

You make the point that you have heard that Cymer is 12 to 18 months ahead of their competitors. If we were talking about high end chips like Intel produces, this would be such a big lead that buyers would not want their competitor's products, but what about the Eximer Laser market? My question shows that I do not know what is driving chip makers going to smaller and smaller chips; is it Cymer, other companies or a combination?

Obviously Cymer manufactures products used in state of the art manufacturing facilities, but would those facilities and products be manufactured if Cymer and its engineers did not exist? If the answer to this question is no, Cymer is absolutely essential, then I would say this stock may be seriously undervalued.

Hope my question makes senses.

Regards,
Jeff
