Where on earth did you study economics? That's patently ridiculous. It is an EQUATION, as in the law of supply AND demand. You can't have a lack of supply without demand.

I am an educated fiscal conservative, which means leave the market alone wherever possible. The AARP is of no interest to me, although I must be on somebody's mailing list. I don't think I'll ever see as much from SS as I have put in (and I have put a lot more in than most people because of having my own business). Medicare, like SS, is a government-inspired competitor to private enterprise.

And I still like old cartoons, too! :^)
