Let's see how Dell's share numbers look after 3Q results. 2Q numbers were messed up by the channel sales out with no sales in. I think the 3Q numbers will be a surprise to analysts and Dell investors alike.

I don't know why so many people thought Dell gained a lot of share in 2Q against CPQ, but those same people will think Dell lost a lot of share to CPQ in 3Q. In reality the share positions didn't move that much, but Dell stock will probably suffer as a result of this perception, just as it got a boost from the misperception of 2Q share.
