NEW YORK, Sept 22 (Reuters) - Japanese Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi told U.S. President Bill Clinton on Tuesday that his government planned to implement measures to restart economic growth quickly.

Speaking after a meeting between the two leaders in New York, Deputy U.S. Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers said Clinton had told Obuchi of the urgent need for Japan to stimulate its economy to help the rest of Asia's depressed economies. >>
