Construction of Two Large Altair Centrifugal Jigs PR Newswire - September 22, 1998 11:22 CODY, Wyo., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Altair International Inc. (Nasdaq: ALTIF) has commissioned the construction of two new model 30/16 Altair Centrifugal Jigs (ACJ). Altair plans to install the two commercial sized model 30/16 ACJ's in a pilot plant at Camden, Tennessee -- part of the feasibility for ongoing development of the Altair heavy mineral sands property. "The excellent results demonstrated during the recently completed testing of the larger volume Series 30/16 ACJ now allows us to proceed with the building and installation of commercial sized units for the Camden project," said Dr. William Long, president of Altair. (Results of testing on the larger volume Series 30/16 ACJ were reported on August 25, 1998.) Altair International is in the development stage of commercializing its state-of-the-art technology, the Centrifugal Jig, which recovers extremely fine, heavy particulate matter using a combination of a mechanical jig and centrifugal force. Potential applications include gold/mineral recovery, coal cleaning and environmental remediation. Altair is the 100% owner of a large titanium/zircon mineral deposit in Tennessee.
