P-Com, Inc. Unveils Tel-Link Encore and Econo-Link
at PCS '98

CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 1998--P-Com, Inc. (Nasdaq/NMS: PCMS - news) today unveiled
two important new products at PCS '98. Tel-Link Encore, the latest addition to P-Com's field proven family of Tel-Link
radios, and Econo-Link, an all outdoor unit radio design providing low cost T1 and E1 interfaces.

Tel-Link Encore incorporates significant advancements in modular design and functionality. The indoor unit (IDU) for all data
rate interfaces is a 1U design with optional plug-ins to keep manufacturing costs low. The outdoor unit (ODU) incorporates
advanced component integration resulting in an easy to install, compact design. Tel-Link Encore is designed to consume less
power, is field configurable in any form, costs less to install and has short set-up times. It also includes a built-in simple
network management protocol (SNMP) interface as well as the ability to function with P-Com's proven Link Manager and
Cluster Manager NMS systems. Tel-Link Encore is fully backward compatible with the current Tel-Link line of radios. In
addition, Tel-Link Encore provides P-Com customers a unique migration path to point-to-multipoint (PTM) using P-Com's
PTM technology.

The Econo-Link is a new addition to the P-Com family of radios that will provide E1 or T1 interfaces in an ''all outdoor'' unit
design with an integrated antenna. The Econo-Link fills the need for a very low cost millimeter wave radio that provides our
customers with a cost effective alternative to leased lines or xDSL. The Econo-Link incorporates low power consumption, is
easy to install and requires no set-up.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, George P. Roberts, stated ''Tel-Link Encore extends P-Com's technological lead in
point-to-point (PTP) radio design and functionality while providing an important transition path to PTM. Our customers can
now plan their network buildouts more effectively and efficiently by incorporating the Tel-Link Encore into their systems.''

Dr. Steve Goldberg, Senior Vice President and General Manager of P-Com's consolidated PTP operations, now known as
the Wireless Access Group, stated ''Econo-Link broadens our product offering opening new markets and making P-Com's
millimeter wave solution available to a larger customer base.''

P-Com, Inc. develops, manufactures and markets network access systems for the worldwide wireless telecommunications
market. The point-to-point, spread spectrum, and point-to-multipoint radio links provided by P-Com are designed to satisfy
the network requirements of cellular and personal communications services, corporate communications, public utilities and
local governments.
