DTS is a priority surround sound coding/decoding method, like Dolby digital, or Pro-logic. It caters to the high end audio buff (ie requires expensive equipment). I am clearly no expert on this subject but my perspective is that most DVD movies are DD (Dolby digital) and some are both DD and DTS, very few are just DTS. That said many new high end audio systems offer both DD and DTS.
I have a DD system and it is great. It will be a few years before I replace that part of my system. I have heard DTS and it to is excellent but I cant say it is THAT much better then DD. Both are MUCH better then pro-logic which is better then stereo which is better then mono.
DISK has some exclusive rights (for some time period) with DTS DVDs I think (Bill will know more about this)
While exclusive rights is nice, DISK doesn't have any great titles that will sell to the masses in such a way that it will boost the bottom line. It really doesn't matter though. DVD will be so big they will get carried along with the current and probably get bought out. (just like Nimbus CD did) What little DVD business DISK has has wiped out it losses in the Laser Disk business and then some. Xmas will be very very good to DVD players. ALOT more then last year.

I agree will Bill, at 4 bucks a share this is a low risk play. You will probably make a nice return by the announcement of the opening of the new facility sometime in Oct.
