phb, 16 mb was terrible for all dram players, too. 64 mb is even worse. 128 mb is now slated for next year. i hope nobody is calculating rois ;-) the killer cycle will be the one that puts some big boys out of business.

Well, now come on guys...NEC expects other mfrs to raise their prices and restrict output. Have you grown cynical?(g) You don't think the other mfrs will go along.? You don't think that if NEC prices at 10 that the next guy won't price it at 9.99? You don't think MU will lock in contracts at 10 instead of the 8 they just announced as an increase in price they get on large contracts? You don't believe in the toothfairy? Me either. This is pathetic. NEC says its going to INCREASE PRODUCTION BY 25% and expect its price to hold.????? I guess everybody will just decreease their output so they can help out their old friends at NEC. AARRGGHH!!!
