Rather simple really. The companies earnings are not growing. 1997 to 1999 will probably show flat results, yet the stock reached the highest p/e in history. Fair value right now is in the forties...

This mornings NY Times has a major story about a "hastily" called meeting Thursday in NY to update wall street on earnings. Most likely this will be the sound of "the other shoe dropping". Stock likely to have a very poor day today regardless of the market. The journey from over valued to under valued will be very painfull
