Marc: "I think you have defamed Bob by indicating that he may be just another bullish pundit when in fact it is self evident that Bob is alone in his bullish opinion."

I am sorry I got caught. But I will apologize to you for the next six days anyway just to see if I can convince you of my sincerity <GGG>.

"The fact is Bob was ALONE in his bullish opinion because he reached it while running alone on a deserted beach. Battipaglia in contrast was in an office with the door wide open when he reached his conclusion."

Good point. But are we really alone here on earth? Don't you think there may be another life form out there that watches our every move? And there is always a dust mite or another little friend around to keep you company no matter where you are at any given moment. Bob had lots of little friends around him on his run: the birds and the fish included. If you think real hard about it, nobody is really alone ever. In fact, there is no such thing as solitary confinement. It's a joke.

sentiment numbers
bulls 36.2%
bears 45.7
bulls/(bulls+bears)=44.20%

Comment-little change from last week, it is clear that last week's 43.38 or more clearly 56.62% bearish sentiment will mark the bottom of the great intermediate correction of 1998 and the start of a big up leg in the great bull market of the 1990's. Also as I predicted and hoped at the time we never reached that magic 20% bear market, Bob's predictive ability remains intact if not quite perfect and we are on our way to riches beyond our wildest dreams. One caveat, If the market unexpectedly crashes I may assert a revised opinion with the same certainty as I have here

Schwab's systems have pretty much collapsed today. I guess the idea of paying a little higher on line commisions and expecting more reliability doesn't always work

goodbye Roger Honour's SF growth fund. I used the weakness to get out of the SF growth fund and put it into TIGEX and SPYders. I couldn't believe It looks like I'm even going to get a small tax loss. I got in heavy in March 1997 buying opportunity and didn't realize how poor the fund's been doing. If we're going to have a raging bull I wasn't interested in his high cash position and questionable stock selection
