Wall Street currently has decided that Bezos has won the on-line commerce war and
they're dead wrong. It hasn't even started. If he doesn't get a deep pocketed partner soon,
he's dead in the water.
But looking at his current stock price racing back up the charts. You might not want to
trust me, on that one.
ps I do like what someone said here yesterday. "This is not an Investment, its a trading
machine". Just down most of you day traders alley.

James,

Excellent post. The Street does consider AMZN the winner which in the short term is my problem. Almost a 3 point up indication. It is "crazy" but those of us not the TA type need to deal with it.

>>Many Aol critics said MsftMsn will bury Aol, but they didn't and it appears that Aol will be around for some time to come...

One piece I read recently pointed out that when MSFT copies something, it ususally takes them three tries to get it right, but they do eventually get it right (think early versions of Windows).

MSFT has gone through a few missteps while others have been discovering what actually does and doesn't make money on the internet, but when it is clear there is money to be made and how, MSFT will be there to say "Thank you very much, we'll take over now."

I think that moment is about here - MSFT is about to unveil the third incarnation of their internet presence, and they are removing the connections to YHOO and AOL from there services.
