Thats always a tough question..no easy answer. Sometimes, we'll just put client on speakerphone, etc. while we work the order.
Somedays, when the market is down 500, we are a bit tighter. But my opinion is that in the worst circumstances we willd efinately outperform online bogs, regardless of how well online firms perform.

Most feedback on our firm is positive. We do whatever it takes to provide the services an investor, be it an insutitional account (20%), long term ivnestor(about 50%) and smaller traders (30%).
Am I or any of my traders going to count minutes? No. Can we simply sit on the phone with someone for 30 minutes at the open when the market is down 500. No either. But between ICQ and other realtime technologies, it works well.

Also, we currently use live videoconferencing for our institutional clients. We WILL be rolling out internet videoconferencing for our better/larger/moreactive smaller accounts in the next month, so you can talk , speak with us real time, all day. I've tested it with bad connections and AOL, and with few exceptions, its about 1/2 second behind phone. Better connections, better performance.
If anyone would be interested in this, let me know.
