Linda,..Re:So would need two ISP hosts and two telecom phone lines?

When we got the ISDN line it came with both voice and data lines. This was in addition to the regular phone line. We still just have one ISP but can use the three lines for net connection, the only problem is the ISP won't let you do multiple connections with just one logon. They want the additional bucks for each password. When we log on to other carriers, like a business connection and the ISDN connection at the same time, there is no problem.

In fact we can be logged on for each of the three lines but Bellsouth only allows one login per account. I think the additional charge for a second account was only $10/month though.

Omega list this morning said the data problem yesterday with BMI and DTN was because of the provider - Bridge data.

Lee

Linda: I have several PC's and one PMac. My PMac was originally purchased for Desktop Publishing. PMac's are still the computer of choice in that area.

You would be surprised how easy Windows is to use now days. Especially if you buy a new PC designed to run the new Windows software. Older PC's can have various problems running Win 95 and up!

The cost of using your MAC to acquire an intra day data stream is still so expensive it still would make since to purchasing a PC, install a second phone line and acquire a second ISP.

Owning a PC would open up access to the various software packages and services available! I was looking for a way to use my PMac. I only found one substantive investment software package for the Mac. I found that prospect just to limiting! I decided I was just trying to hard to use the Pmac and not being smart!

I decided to use a PC based intra day software and service. I can always use the PMac to surf the web and access information and SI, etc.

Regards,
LG
