What's really, really cool about this is over the weekend I thought about sending Dell's webmaster a note saying they should provide server space and (digital) training so that other companies can serve their web sites from Dell's domain.

And Dell could help these other companies purchase domain names, so it would be momandpopcomputers.com instead of dell.com.

I know that free space is already available out there (see xoom.com ), so perhaps that's not the business Dell wants to be in. They need to decide what areas to be in based on ROI. I haven't done any modeling, so I'm not sure if this is a better or worse idea than entering the workstation market (for instance).

But it fits right in with the quote "Many have helped me become a billionaire; I'm going to help them be millionaires" from Message 5818026 . I've said it before and I'll say it again: I greatly admire Michael Dell and hope to emulate him.

Cheers,
KenB

P.S. I really hope someone from Dell is lurking on this thread, and picking up all the good ideas we kick around.
