Nontheeless, this is quite a different tone from what you would have said three years ago. I hear concessions. It is the slow transformation from discipline to indolence that causes people to make compromises with the devil. You never know how, suddenly out of nowhere the trouble hits. It is because we all make slight adaptive reconfigurations in what is acceptable. It evolves to the point where what is acceptable becomes what is intolerable. Then we shoot ourselves in the foot blaming the wrong source of the problems. You are always a victim of this process unless you identify the core issues and address them with unrelenting vigilance. The FED hasn't done that. They've intellectually made concessions to principle based upon the Keynesian axiom that "in the long run we are all dead".
