mike, hyundai the car company and hyundai electronics are all under the same umbrella, right? do you have a link proving this as some on this thread have gone anal retentive on us ;-)

Also, Hyundai cars are getting much better. Reliability is about equal to American cars now, though still lagging the Big Three from Japan, and a couple of European mfrs.

Hmmm. IMHO they are still way behind the Big Three. When I was over in ST. Maarten last week it appeared that all the rental cars and vans used as buses were Hyundai

With less than 15KMeters on them, they looked and rode like $h*t and didn't feel very safe.....but....I must admit they were reliable since they did start up every time.<ggg>.

Now they are cheap b/c their currency has been devalued and they are price competitive with US and Europeans...but when I was in Germany and Belgium the rentals and cabs are mostly MB's and their Odometers spin around 2-3 times and they still ride nice ...oh..and yes and they are also reliable and start up every time.<g>

To me Cost and reliability aren't the only things that determine value.<vbg>
