I might have to agree that I am biased towards a FORE acquisition since I own the stock. The reason it seems "logical" is that price wise, LU could pick up FORE and NN for what would most likely be a cheaper price than ASND. Now LU will have enterprise ATM from FORE and IP over ATM from NN. A cheaper way to establish credibility in the ATM market IMO.

Also, as you stated, LU/ASND is pretty big merger. To implement these two companies will no doubt take some time. More so than two or more much smaller networking companies.

One drawback is FORE and NN have no presence in Silicon Valley. FORE being in Pittsburgh, and NN in Canada(I Believe).
