bp, no no I wasnt trying to make so grand a point as maybe you thought. Im simply trying to say that income taxes are not the same as wealth taxes. Sometimes, the politicians try to imply that they are one and the same. The wealthiest people I know have little or no income.

I wasnt forced to accept payment to my corporation at Dell, it was the tax advantageous choice. I paid less taxes and made more money there, thats all I was trying to say.

Consumption/vat taxes just seem to be more fair. Of course even that becomes false when you look at the top earners I realize (consumption probably tops out at some point.... although I dont know where that is yet - rofl).
