Note that they didn't say that the patent is worthless and overreaching, but that they aren't infringing on the patent. It's funny, but their response tells me they don't have a chance. The patent is so broad they don't have a choice but to be screwed.

1) DX6 uses multitexturing
2) 3dfx has a patent on multitexturing
3) TNT uses DX6

Of course if it's possible Clinton didn't have sex with Lewinsky and OJ didn't kill anyone, I suppose it's possible Nvidia isn't infringing. :-)
