And I predict that in AMZN's case, they have overstated the earnings potential and that the reality will not justify current prices.

Only when it's a bad analyst doing the predicting I do not know of any statistical mathematical measures that are not based on the past. What method of analysis do good analysts use?

One can interpret numbers but that is just story telling. Story telling plays a big role in the market.
