Thank you for that clarification. I think Michelle needs to spend some time with her tax advisor <g>. Hopefully her Dell stock wasn't trading at it's high when it was issued to her. Basically what you have described is a "barter" transaction between the two parties. Obviously the fluctuation of the stock price would make that a potential "two edged" sword. Good deal if the stock continues to appreciate, not so good if it falls in value. bp
