I have a hard time deciphering his speeches so I just watch the tape. <gg> He enjoys speaking in riddles so much that recently, Rubin had to interpret for him.

He'll be subtle alright such that only those that understand Fed Speak will be able to interpret it. Fed Vice Chair yesterday hinted at a rate cut, thus feeding the speculation today. I think there is so much uncertaintly that such news is only partially discounted in resulting in the run we've seen thus today. My conclusion is that it is not a sell on the news opportunity. It could be a sell if Greenspan doesn't say something about the possible affects of the global slowdown on the U.S. economy.
