You saw this on Cinemax recently? I was looking for it and I dont get Cinemax. Are you saying it wont be shown in the Landmark cinemas (they show all the foreign films)? Its nowhere around here.

Thanks for the explanation of what the commotion regarding "Lolita" is all about.

If a piece of literature has indeed been considered "classic" over time, I've no argument with it as long as children are not exposed to it at a premature age.

There have been instances though, when I agreed with those who expressed outrage at tax $$$s being granted to those who claimed to be artists & in fact their creations have been devoid of any artistic merit whatsoever. The artistic community can be ridiculous in their claims that all human expression can be viewed as "art." The most outrageous episode of this is the artist who painted Christ in a container of urine(or something to that effect)while receiving a tax grant. IMO, the public should support the arts - not government.
