Ray with deepest respect Canada number one just recently started curtailing her social spending. Her taxation in many provinces is outrageous which blesses current growth in the Calgary Area because of reduced taxation rate.
I was born in Winnipeg the manufacturing moved to Asia cost cutting competitive edge. It was the donkeys in power then that did not see what was happening NDP created to much socialism and restricted growth

True timber true seafood but Alaska is also being affected, the dollar i am sure accounts for this.

Vancouver got hit hardest why? Answer Asia.

When I worked in Wall Street I referred to "window provincialism." A "provincial"
is someone who can't see beyond his/her own narrow horizons. If analysts couldn't
see something outside their own window, i.e. New York City, then it did not exist.
