It didn't take "hindsite" for Clinton to know that he gave gifts to Monica Lewinsky and left messages on her answering machine. You continue to avoid the obvious conclusion that Clinton had the opportunity to spare himself, his family and ultimately the American people this entire spectacle. Instead of telling his lawyer that there was tangible evidence of a possible Clinton/Lewinsky affair, he smugly thought he could cover up the relationship by co-ordinating his testimony with Monica, using his clout to get her a job outside of Washington and take his chances. (inexcusable recklessness on his part)

To further illustrate the sheer stupidity of this President, I will submit to you that the evidence thus far indicates that Clinton lied to his own attorney. Clinton, the lawyer, lies to his attorney, the worst possible thing a defendant can do, and I'm convinced that this blunder will ultimately cause the most serious of repercussions. You will never convince me that his attorney willfully and knowingly admitted a false affidavit to the court and risk disbarment. Judge Wright has reserved the option of sanctioning the President in this regard. She could hold him in contempt or even issue a summary judgement in favor of Jones. I'm afraid his "I didn't pay attention" excuse won't hold up with Judge Wright. If she let's him roll her court with that kind of nonsense, she will be opening the door for every possible obstructor of justice to fall back on that totally lame excuse.

This president is still very much in legal jeopardy, apart from the conveyance of the report into the hands of the congress for impeachment consideration.
