The Indian Auto Price Wars-It's between Maruti,Hyundai & Daewoo. Ratan: Looks like the Desi-Indians now can get one of them small cars for a little over $5000.00,ie a non-a/c Hyundai Santro.TATA will join the fray shortly.Man,I love this free enterprise! Competing models. Maruti Zen Hyundai Santro Daewoo Matiz TATA Indica Little over $7000.00 bucks should get one a fully loaded 'small-job' which is probably the best to drive in India considering the roads and the absence of any traffic regulations.I still dread the thought of the 4 months I spent a couple of years ago in my TATA Estate over there,talk about an experience! business-standard.com
