HI Lee, A rate cut is imminent either on the 29th or during the next 2 FOMC meetings that follows the sept meeting,more likely on the 29th from the looks of it.

I think all he said was the turmoil around the world was sufficient to keep a lid on U.S inflation,quite an improvement from what he said last time which was something like the economic turmoil outside the U.S had a balancing effect on U.S inflationary pressures. So I guess Greenspan is a happy man now and anything is possible now.<vbg>
