As long as there are people willing to pay big bucks for those pieces, naturally the art community will not argue as to their merits.

Only the test of time will tell if they are truly worthwhile.

However, my point is that many in the artistic community would have us believe that any nonsense is a fantastic work of art. That's fine, if some people believe it; however, our tax $$$s should not support it. Wealthy corporations & individuals should do that IMO.

Good luck with your purchase.....hopefully the artist is another Rembrandt or Michelangelo:o)

P.S. Couple mos. back I took my niece to the circus. An elephant painted a canvas holding the brush in his trunk -- the finished product was a good, if not better, than many paintings I've seen in galleries.
