I admit, TV ratings are just one metric. But, that is a metric that has been cited as evidence of the growth of the sport. You can't have it both ways and use data when it supports your argument and abandon it when it doesn't.

As for your speculation that the internet is pulling viewership from all TV, show me the data to support this argument. Football ratings are not down and Football rating do not apply to the discussion at hand, Nascar. If there is something else pulling people away from Nascar "attention", then there is less of audience to sell Action products to.

You were right about the rescheduled Daytona race running at nighttime, but it is still a TNN broadcast (even though the Nascar site still says CBS). So, I don't understand how you can say that it is a net boost to viewership???? The two college football teams (Gators and Seminoles) are home and will take away the attention from the raceday. My point was that the management's guidance about the revenue impact from the race has been misleading at best.

As far as Action being a global company... What does it matter when I think the accounting is aggressive, management squirrelly, and visibility limited at best.
