Wednesday Gap Wrap:

DELL 61 1/8,62 5/8
MSFT 108 3/4, 109 5/8
PFE 101 3/8, 102 3/4
AOL 107 3/4, 110 1/2
YHOO 105, 108 1/2
NB 54, 55 1/4

DELL bought at 62 5/8 twice, out flat. Bought at 62 3/4, sold for 1.
MSFT bought at 109 5/8, sold for 1.
PFE bought at 102 3/4, sold for 1.
AOL bought at 110 1/2, sold for 2. Bought at 110 3/4, sold for 1.
YHOO kicked myself all day for not buying!
NB bought at 55 1/4 sold at close for 2 3/4.

Check out on today's chart how AOL retraced to 110 1/2 on the nose around 1:30 and then took off again.

My stops left a lot of money on the table today...but I'm certainly not complaining!

Jay

AKLM

Scott, your analysis of the block trades on AKLM this afternoon would be appreciated. Seems like more went at ask than bid, so maybe that is a good sign.

MSPG

While I did not partake over the last two days of gain for MSPG, I get some satisfaction out of analyzing what looked to be an ascending triangle, and had I been paying attention, an entry yesterday would have been indicated.

WOULDA COULDA SHOULDA

I started running a new scan based on 270 stocks that I have selected for inclusion in a database.

I was wary of posting my selections, because I haven't seen any results yet, and obviously, the last two days had a lot of gainers anyway, and I'm inclined to think that anything I come up with tonight will be affected by the steep rise today, but I thought I'd just say that I had some interesting selections each day (about 5), one of which on Monday night was DPRC, which gained about 4 points on Tuesday, and VCAM came up last night, and was up solidly today. I traded neither, and almost selected VCAM for the position account I set up, but didn't. I hope this doesn't sound too much like the fish that got away story. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, nothing lost.

Anyhow, maybe I'll start posting what I'm getting, just for the heck of it. I will probably not post it tonight for the reasons stated before.
