I assume you're saying that the error is in this Paragraph?

Financial analysts expect Intel's earnings to remain
unchanged from the previous quarter even as sales
increase by as much as 10 percent. An unexpected
increase of that magnitude would normally translate
into windfall profits for a semiconductor company.

This is true. The article failed to note that this was a multi-year cap. ex. plan. I recall the spending was to take place over a ten year time period.
