Vin, thanks for that response.

I just can't believe that CSCO and ASND aren't beating down the door to get a hold of this company because bandwidth is everything in the near future and without it they are going to have problems competing with LU.

CIEN by itself is not a very viable company since it doesn't look like they can get their foot into the big doors so the CEO must look to join up with someone. It seems to me he got his wish with TLAB and then just sat on his hands and waited for the merger to take place.

I am encouraged by something I read in the NYTimes the day the original deal was signed. It said something like, "CSCO is the one being left out." Well now CSCO has a second chance and I hope they jump on it.

My one concern is the lack of option activity. Seems unlikely that a buyout will occur and no one gets wind of it first as seen in heavy option activity.
