I "have to" have a Banshee card by Oct. 10. Does anyone have a
recommendations as to which board is the best and which is the cheapest? Where can I buy it from (keeping the time constraint in mind).
<<<

I would like to know the same actually, but here's what I know.

Information is readily available about the Banshee cards from Diamond, Creative Labs, and Wicked3D. You can get the Diamond one for $120, the CL one for $99 (after rebate), and the Wicked3D one for $140.

I would REALLY like to know how these cards stack up against one another. I know the CL card uses SDRAM which is probably 5-10% slower than an SGRAM card. I know the Wicked3D sports a DVD unit as well. As far as I know all these cards will be out by the 10th but the Wicked3D one should be the first out, then the CL card (on the 1st maybe?) and I think the Diamond on the 10th.

In general I don't look much at European hardware but if someone thinks the euro boards are worth looking into, throw us a bone. I really wish Quantum3D would get off its bum and release a little info about their Banshee solution already.

Sun, you can order it now. No waiting until Oct. 10. Tell me how it works.

P.S. Notice that the European boardmakers beat the Americans to the punch. What are the odds that this was by 3dfx design?
