I think it was a backhanded salute to that Redford movie a coupla years back. Switching channels or something. "Presidential" was used as an obvious horsedung adjective for when the anchor preened his way past a moment of ignorance. Or something.

Today, before my cable went out for the entire market and came back just in time for the boys to watch MTV, I heard Clinton speaking and he was attacking Congress bigtime. I was amazed. He said they hadn't passed anything he's proposed, that they've been completely ineffectual, and he made a veiled allusion to his situation saying that they had their priorities completely misplaced, implying I guess that they should forget his behavior and get back to running the country.
I don't know why, but it infuriated me more than anything else he's done. I think because it was so-- gloves off, play dirty, politically motivated compared to the contrite tearful act we were treated to last week. His emotional lability is awesome.
