Joe, waiting for the Oct 75's or 80's to pop up. I like your idea about the Oct 70's as it would provide a great premium, but I don't necessarily want my shares taken away. We're going into strongest part of the year for Dell, and I want to be holding a bunch of it.
Good luck on the 70's if you do it.

Marty

October 70s should be (65%) a safe bet, but $75s would be (80%) safer. Stay away from selling covered calls in November, as expiration is after earnings...

Regards,

LoD

Please help me clear up some confusion with regards to covered calls.

If I am sitting on 5,000 shares and wish to make them available in the form of Oct 70's. I can write for 50 contracts which according to the chart from CBOE the net is 3/4. Does this mean that I will be paid up front 0.75 x 50 (as per contract) or 0.75 x 5000 (as per share)?
