Company should issue a press release in response to allegations-and if they feel that a illegal short is occurring in the stock they should announce it. That would scare the heck out of the shorters-that a possible investigation by the sec which was disclosed by a newsletter(source-whatever it was). They need to respond-because if they just announce a sec investigation(that's very open ended)-people will interpret this as a major negative. Just my 2c! John
