Ooops, I forgot about THX, your right, that is the highest quality sound the consumer can get at this time.

There seems (to me) to be too much choice here, everyone is trying to get there audio approach to be the "standard"... I suppose it really does not matter since the capacity of DVD now and in the future is so great that one could put several "schemes" on the disk and let the consumer choose at the time of viewing.

I did not know that you have to have a DTS DVD player to hear DTS, I thought the audio components would handle it given a digital input from the player.
This is getting confusing. Thanks for your wisdom.
