Cymeed,

My input should be taken w/ a heavy dose of salt, because I am not in IT. I am a night-time investor - i.e. I learn what I can about my stocks after the workday is done. No special insight here.

But, I just wanted to express that Y2K should not necessarily be viewed strictly as a negative (as I thought your question was implyng - I may have misread). Y2K presents an opportunity for revenues that otherwise would not have occured.

Hopefully someone else can give you better info than myself.

Shane

No, why would you assume that? If earnings are slowing, and you need to increase productivity in order to maintain what earnings growth you have....it pays to get the best. ORCL will not be hurt by this. SHOULD their sales suffer, ORCL is still likely to generate solid revenues from their existing contracts...

I expect ORCL to continue to perform at or above expectations for some time to com.
