OG, if INTC buys COMS, there is an anti-trust issue related to NIC adapters, and possibly low-end hubs. INTC would likely have to divest these businesses.

I think an INTC buyout of COMS is very unlikely.

But you are correct. COMS will have to be bought by someone in order to grow in the longer term. But, this buyout could be years away. COMS can exist on its own profitably for at least a few years, and probably will.

ASND is in much the same boat. No urgent need to be bought, but long term, they will be no match for the current (CSCO) and future (LU) 800lbs gorillas. I believe Mory knows this, and is simply posturing pre 10/1. He will get an offer from LU. The only question is, will he accept it.
