The trick is to find the winners. I am still struggling to understand the barriers to entry. Pete K explained his company's competitive position as the end-to-end e-bill and e-pay provider. George Bell has indicated that he feels that his capture of eyeballs is worth several billion dollars to re-create at this point. Who is the new kid on the block creating billion dollar virtual real estate? OMKT, CYCH, HRBC? They all have positives and negatives.

I grew up in Michigan in the early 70's....close to going to HELL...energy crunch, automakers, employeement...any slow down will spur e-comm. It's the easiest way to expand, GIVE ME AN INTERNET CONNECTION, E-COMM SOFTWARE A PORTAL AND I'LL TOUCH THE WORLD! Those were tough times in Mi. as it looked like the auto industry would be lost to the Japanese.
