Thomas Ogryzlo, President and Chief Executive Officer of Black Hawk Mining Inc. ("Black Hawk") is pleased to announce that effective immediately Mr. L. Blois Hennigar has been appointed Vice President and Chief Financial Officer replacing Mr. Ian Shaw who has left the company to pursue other interests. Mr. Hennigar is a Chartered Accountant and brings extensive international business experience to Black Hawk including his knowledge of financial management, business practices and corporate development in Canada, the United States and Latin America. His experience has been gained as a senior financial executive with Combustion Engineering Canada, Canron Inc. and with Kilborn SNC-Lavalin, where he was Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development for the Kilborn Group. Mr. Ogryzlo and the board of directors believe Mr. Hennigar's thirty years of experience in finance, corporate development, planning, acquisitions and joint ventures as well as his international experiences in Brazil, Chile, Peru and the United States will greatly benefit the Company. Black Hawk Mining Inc. is a gold mining company with two producing mines; the Keystone Gold Mine in Manitoba and the Limon Mine in Nicaragua. These two mines are expected to produce a total of 115,000 ounces of gold in 1998. The company also holds exploration properties in Manitoba and Nicaragua as well as in Argentina, northern Ontario, Maine and British Columbia.
