Dear Sonny,

I been thinking of sending you this post for some times, but I didn't
know how to get the words right! I been following Lewinski's affair
on other threads. Lots of comments and lots of opinions. I think we
should refrain from further getting into moral issues, becasue enough is being said. Leaving aside the Republican consipericy theory, and the fact that it is shameful to see the office of the President of the United States weankend, what a lot of Americans may not understand, is that this sad affair, in a certain sense, is the triunph of American democracy. Here in Europe, and world wide, the politicains get by with murder, and every thing is white washed. No one in politics
is accountable to the law. They steal, screw, lie, and kill and they are not answerable not even to God. The only country on earth, that even the President has to face the grand jury and be cross examined in front of the public is the United States. This is what democracy is all about, and I believe the Americans have to be proud of the system under which they live.

Best wishes,

Yaacov
