I guess you just answered yourself. Or perhaps Intel will introduce new products such as a CACHELESS 800MHz Katmai and a 450MHz Pentium. Yes Intel is good at revamping archaic technology and market it as the latest and greatest thing just like they will with the Pentium 300MHz mobile.

If the Specint95=30 for the Katmai is 804MHz then Intel better go back and fix their logic core. The Alpha 21264 at 550MHz is already at that number and look like the K7 will top that number. At comparable speed the K7 will make the Katmai looks like sissy.
