donald: I am not predicting doom and gloom either. I am just saying that it is too soon to say that this short-term move up is a resumption of the Bull. The 9/1 lows may well be a bottom, I just don't think so!

Until my technicals confirm this short term up trend is more than a bear rally, I will stay with the strategy of keeping the equities portion of my portfolio in cash and day trade a percentage.

Regards,
LG

Hi Donald .. Re slopes ..

The S&P slopes that I've been watching ..

20 Calender day went positive yesterday.
200 calender day went positive today.

If we follow the 20 day slope then the 20 day crosses the 50 day 10/1.
I have been waiting for that as my buy signal, as I have to allow three days for trades in my 401k.

I have the 50 day going positive tomorrow if we close up.

FWIW

Gersh
