LOUISVILLE, Ky., Sept 21 (Reuters) - Ventas Inc. said on Monday that Steven Downey has been elected vice president and chief financial officer. Downey fills a position that has been vacant since Ventas began operations in May, the company said in a statement. Downey is a certified public accountant who was previously a consultant and vice president and controller of Providian Financial Corp. <PVN.N>, the company said.
